Do we know anything about depression and gender?

By | October 21st, 2020

Depression equally impacts men and women as a risk factor for Alzheimer’s, but it is more prevalent in women and it creates more susceptibility for women overall. There are other examples like sleep apnea which can cause cognitive impairment later in life, and is more common in men, while it’s an equal risk factor for both men and women. There is a lot more research to be done, though.
