How do family members/friends react to an Alzheimer’s diagnosis?

Fright is like saying I don’t want to hear that- their fright becomes, “Yikes, they’ve got it but my life is going to change as well.” Flight is being overwhelmed and the mentality of “I can’t, I don’t,” where you can’t even talk about the disease. Fight is when a family member doesn’t think it’s real. Someone may get there (acceptance) but maybe not everybody. Hide is when someone worries, and wonders, “Oh, who do I tell, who do I not tell, what about his work, our friends, etc.” Seek is when one believes there is simply more to be done and is similar to denial.
