I know that the protocol is in but I also know that people continue to play. A brain injury is serious, so people should probably not play again after they have a brain injury. However, we saw players continue to play. Maybe they stayed out for a week or two, but then they went back in and played again. To me, that shows how there is not enough being done. Also, the players know. When they play this game, there’s a great chance they’re going to suffer in the long run because of the head banging. The NFL needs to address this issue nearly on. I think the whole key here is not taking down the NFL, but rather talking to mothers and saying to parents, ‘please don’t let your children play football.’
How has the NFL responded to players with CTE and the dangers of such a physical, head banging sport?
