Why are women more susceptible to Alzheimer’s than men?

Women live longer, so prevalence wise, that’s one of the biggest reasons why we see more women with Alzheimer’s than men. We’ve looked at studies showing incidents as in how many new people are getting Alzheimer’s each year, and depending on the geographic area, there’s not as much of a difference between risk and gender. So the main reason is just the fact women live longer and we’ll see over the next decades or so what happens with regards to incidents.
