A Story of Resilience: A Nurse’s MS Journey with Mild Cognitive Impairment

March 28 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am PDT

Free

Join us Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET for a Live Talk with former pediatric nurse SuAnne Cobb. She’ll share how she copes with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and multiple sclerosis (MS), and the ways in which it sparked her own advocacy.

Cobb noticed something was wrong when she started having difficulty processing information, losing words, and having memory issues. She had MS, which can cause brain fog. When Cobb’s wife, Margaret, started to notice these issues with memory as well, Cobb saw a specialist. Ultimately, she was diagnosed with MCI caused by MS.

After her diagnosis, Cobb became actively involved in support groups for MCI, and took on a leadership role as chair of the board of directors for a local support group called “Sharing Experiences Together.” Then, she began co-producing and co-hosting the podcast “Living Our Best With Memory Loss,” to both share her experiences and offer insights to others facing similar challenges.

Cobb is passionate about changing the stereotype that memory loss usually carries and spreading the message that those with memory loss can lead rich and satisfying lives. Learn more about her journey to diagnosis and all that came later in our upcoming Live Talk.
