Pay close attention to what your genetic provider says in their terms and agreements. Don’t check the box that gives these companies the consent to share your data – if you are paranoid about that kind of thing. Carefully read the user agreement, talk to a genetic counselor which can provide information your primary care doctor could not. They can give you help on how to protect your information. I will say that there is no way to completely protect your information.
