How does sugar affect cognitive function?

By | October 21st, 2020

There is no study that links sugar to a healthy brain or a greater risk of developing dementia. However, sugar is often consumed in foods that are high in saturated fats and salts, so overall those high sugar foods aren’t doing you any good and they also, as you consume more high caloric foods, take away from other foods your body needs like leafy green vegetables. So sugar is kind of an empty calorie that doesn’t help the body at all.
