Is there any law in place to protect APOE4 carriers from being denied insurance?

GINA, the genetic information non-discrimination act, prohibits health insurance companies from denying you or asking you about it. They can figure it out in legal ways when they go through and decide what they can or cannot cover but they can’t use it against you. However, with a long term insurance company and a disability insurance company they can ask and they can use it against you. I will say that GINA doesn’t protect you from blood based biomarker, cerebral spinal fluid biomarkers or neuro-imaging.
