Why is wine a part of the MIND diet?

Consistent research has shown that people who consume very moderate levels of alcohol, from anywhere above zero drinks per week up to about seven drinks per week, have the lowest risk of dementia. I want to be very careful to state and have people realize that every drink above those very moderate levels actually contributes to brain atrophy. However, this light, moderate intake appears to actually be healthy for the brain.
