On Thursday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. PT/ 2 p.m. ET, University of Washington’s Dr. Barak Gaster joins Being Patient Live Talks to discuss how to improve dementia diagnosis and care in both the specialist and primary care setting. He’ll also discuss the Cognition in Primary Care program that he directs, and his Advance Directive for Dementia project.
Gaster is a professor of medicine at the University of Washington. There, as director of the Cognition in Primary Care program, he trains doctors to improve dementia-care. Gaster has also helped lead development of the CDC’s Healthy-Brain Roadmap and has published on bioethics and dementia for the Hastings Center. In addition, he partners with investigators at the University of Washington Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
